Is Dholera accessible via train?

No, you cannot take a train directly into Dholera SIR right now because there is no station inside the city yet. The closest big station is in Ahmedabad, and from there, you have to take a car or a bus to reach the project site.

Why I am telling you this

I have been looking at land and buildings for years. I saw cities like Gandhinagar when they were just dirt and trees. I have seen many people get rich by buying the right land, but I have also seen poor families lose every penny because they believed a lie.

I want to make sure you know the real truth. Infrastructure is a big word that just means roads, pipes, and tracks. In Dholera, the tracks are still being planned.

How you get there today

If you want to go see Dholera today, here is how you do it:

  • The Ahmedabad Connection: Most people take a train to the Ahmedabad Junction. This is a very busy place. From there, Dholera is about 100 kilometers away.
  • The Bhavnagar Route: Some people go to Bhavnagar. It is a bit closer, maybe 60 or 70 kilometers, but the roads are different.
  • The Car Ride: You will have to sit in a car for about two hours. When I was a young man , two hours felt like forever. Today, with air conditioning, it is easier, but it is still a long trip.

The Big Plan for the Future

The government is working on something called the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. This is a very long name for a special train track just for big boxes and heavy things.

  • Bhimnath to Dholera: There is a plan to build a new train line from a place called Bhimnath straight into the city.
  • Metro Train: They also want to build a Regional Rapid Transit System. This would be a fast train like a Metro that connects Ahmedabad to Dholera.
  • Work in Progress: You might see people digging or putting up poles. But remember, you cannot buy a ticket for these trains yet. They are not finished.

My Honest Advice to You

I have watched many “dream cities” grow. Some become amazing places, and some stay as empty fields for a long time.

  • Don’t listen to fast talkers: If a salesman tells you the train is running next month, he is not being honest.
  • Check the papers: Always look at the Gujarat RERA website. It is like a report card for builders. If they aren’t on there, walk away.
  • Patience is key: Buying land here is for people who can wait ten or twenty years. If you need a train to go to work tomorrow, Dholera is not for you yet.
  • Look with your eyes: Go there yourself. Feel the dirt. See how far the nearest station really is. Don’t just look at a pretty map in a shiny office.

It makes me sad when I see people spend their life savings on a promise that is too far away. Dholera has a lot of hope, but the train tracks are still a dream for the future. Be smart and stay safe with your money.
